    28th Public Affairs Detachment

    A reconnaissance and surveillance Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) team assigned to the 2nd Chemical Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas, inspect a wreckage following a simulated explosion emitting live radioactive isotopes as part of the Defense CBRN Response Force (DCRF) validation training exercises that took place outside the Hanford Nuclear Reservation and the Hazardous Materials Management and Emergency Response (HAMMER) Training and Education Center test site. The U.S. Army North Command is responsible for the evaluation of the overall mission readiness and level of Defense CBRN Response Force posture.
