Leon Pinheiro, from Queens, N.Y., left, serves as the helicopter control officer, and Logistics Specialist 2nd Class Taylor Tuttle, from Colorado Springs, Colo., serves as a flight deck officer, as an HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter, assigned to the U.S. Air Force’s 33rd Rescue Squadron, departs the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69) during joint deck landing qualifications. Milius is underway conducting operations in the Indo-Pacific region while assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
