The United States Marine Corps is pleased to recognize Hunter Hughes of Newfield High School in Selden, for and attending the 2019 Semper Fidelis All-American Program Battles Won Academy, July 11-15, in the District of Columbia. Hughes was selected not only for her athletic performance but for outstanding character, academic excellence, and community leadership that reflects the Marine Corps’ values of honor, courage, and commitment. Hughes received a congratulatory certificate at Newfield High School, Selden N.Y. on Oct. 22.
