Senior Airman Amanda Miller, a food services journeyman assigned to the 628th Force Support Squadron, prepares ingredients during the lunch hour in the Gaylor Dining Facility at Joint Base Charleston, S.C., Oct. 18, 2019. Through cost-effective modernization of base facilities and functions, services specialists maintain and operate hotels, restaurants and fitness centers at bases all over the world, ensuring their fellow Airmen receive the required care when deployed or at home station. The Gaylor Dining Facility provides three meals a day, servicing Joint Base Charleston’s total force of over 79,000 Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, civilians, dependents and retirees.
