U.S. Navy Hospitalman Norberto CruzMontaz with Third Battalion, Eighth Marine Regiment, Second Marine Division (2d MARDIV) conducts a live whole-blood transfusion evaluation at Camp Wilson, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Oct. 18, 2019. The goal of the training was to elevate the standards of skill and competency among all three Marine Expeditionary Forces. The hospitalmen will implement whole-blood transfusions on simulated casualties during MAGTF Warfighting Exercise (MWX), scheduled to take place from mid-October through early November.
