Chief Master Sgt. Al Mast, KC-135 Boom Operator with Iowa Air National Guard’s 185th Air Refueling Wing walks through a shower of water following his final flight on October 18, 2019 at the Sioux City, Iowa based Air Guard unit. Showering members of the air crew with a fire hose on the occasion on their fin flight is a age old tradition. Mast is retiring from the Air Guard after serving 30 years. He originally enlisted on October 18, 1989, 30 years to the day of his fin flight.
