U.S. Navy Hospitalman Second Class Casey Doyle, left, director of Division Schools, Headquarters Battalion, First Marine Division, provides instruction to Hospitalman Third Class Joshua Buckner with Third Battalion, Eighth Marine Regiment, Second Marine Division (2d MARDIV) during a live whole-blood transfer practical application at Camp Wilson, Marine Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Oct. 16, 2019. The goal of the training was to elevate the standards of skill and competency among all three Marine Expeditionary Forces. The hospitalmen will implement whole-blood transfusions on simulated causalities during MAGTF Warfighting Exercise (MWX) 1-20, scheduled to take place from mid-October through early November.
