U.S. Navy Hospitalman Casey Doyle, an instructor with Division Schools, Headquarters Battalion, First Marine Division, checks the blood pressure of a simulated patient during a whole-blood transfusion practical application with the Battalion Aid Station, Second Marine Division (2d MARDIV) at Camp Wilson, Marine Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Oct. 16, 2019. The goal of the training was to elevate the standards of skill and competency among all three Marine Expeditionary Forces. The hospitalmen will implement whole-blood transfusions on simulated casualties during the MAGTF Warfighting Exercise (MWX) 1-20, scheduled to take place from mid-October through early November.
