Thirty-three runners wait for the signal to start the shadow version of the Marine Corps Historic Half marathon at Forward Operating Base Delaram II, Afghanistan, May 20, 2012. The Marines, sailors and civilians who took part in the race all received official Historic Half t-shirts and finisher’s medals at the end of the 13.1 mile run. The men’s winner was Capt. Patrick Sullivan who finished in 1:37:21. The women’s winner was Navy Lt. Rebecca Murphy at 1:48:51.
