General Joseph Lengyel, Chief of the National Guard Bureau, hosted the Chief's Excellence in Diversity Awards with Major General William Walker, Commanding General of the District of Columbia National Guard, at the Camp Robinson MWR Complex, September 24, 2019. The Catagory 4 award recognizes an exemplary an Army National Guard Unit. This year's award went to the Women's Special Emphasis Council for the Minnesota National Guard. Accepting the award on behalf of the council, 2nd. Lt. Taryn Unterschuetz and Capt. Ashley Morgan. they were accompanied by Brig. Gen. Lowell Kruse. The Joint Diversity Executive Council (JDEC), held at the Professional Education Center on Camp Robinson Maneuver Training Center, North Little Rock, Ark., was from Sept 23 - 24, 2019.
