Maj. Brett Plummer, 20th Bomb Squadron radar navigator, powers up a four-monitor navigation computer called an Offensive Avionics System inside the lower deck of a B-52H Stratofortress on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., May 17. The system provides a multitude of capabilities, including evaluating the position of the aircraft from a fixed point, scanning weather and locating targets.
