Aviation Ordnanceman Chief LaChanda E. Parker, a Recruit Division Commander at Officer Training Command (OTCN) in Newport, Rhode Island, inspects the khaki uniform worn by students of Officer Candidate School (OCS) class 03-20 on Oct. 15, 2019. The candidates must have military bearing to leave their uniforms as is after the inspection is completed and can only recover when the command is given. OCS develops civilians and fleet Sailors into newly commissioned officers morally, mentally, physically and imbue them with the highest ideals of honor, courage and commitment in order to prepare graduates for service in the fleet as Naval officers.
