SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2019) Vice Adm. Scott D. Conn, commander, U.S. Third Fleet discusses ship operations with Royal Australian Navy Commander Josh Wilson, commanding officer, HMAS Brisbane (DDG 41). Conn visited Brisbane during San Francisco Fleet Week 2019. The U.S.-Australia alliance is an anchor for peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region and around the world. SFFW provides an opportunity for the Marine Corps and Navy to demonstrate the quality of personnel to the citizens of San Francisco and surrounding areas. Through Fleet Weeks, the military gains the opportunity to educate area leaders and the general public about the Marine Corps and Navy.
