Soldiers from 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, unload a cargo ship as they begin their deployment of approximately 3,500 troops and various military vehicles Oct. 11, 2019, Vlissingen, Netherlands. This is the first time the U.S. Army has utilized the port for this type of operation in recent memory and will utilize four different modes of transit to demonstrate the U.S.’s readiness and commitment to deterring potential adversaries in the European Theater, as 2nd ABCT arrives in Europe to begin their nine-month rotation in support of Atlantic Resolve.
