SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 8, 2019) – The Independence-class littoral combat ship USS Charleston (LCS 18), the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) and the guided-missile destroyer USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000) sit pier-side while participating in San Francisco Fleet Week (SFFW) 2019. SFFW is an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard teams and experience America's sea services. During fleet week, service members participate in various community service events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community, and enjoy the hospitality of San Francisco and its surrounding areas.
