ROTA, Spain (Oct. 7, 2019) Vice Adm. John Nowell, chief of naval personnel, talks to Sailors assigned to the guided-missile destroyers USS Ross (DDG 71) and USS Gridley (DDG 101) during an all-hands call on the waterfront at Naval Station Rota. Nowell is traveling through Europe to visit the fleet and discuss with Sailors any concerns they have in managing their naval careers. He is also sharing news about upcoming changes as a result of modernization and raising awareness of the many new apps designed to make life easier for today's Sailors.
