Jerry Zuk uses a flashlight and a mirror to inspect the underside of an F-117 engine at Joint Base Charleston – Air Base, S.C., May 3. Zuk spends several hours looking at everything from metal pipes, steel fan blades to electrical wires and insulation to make sure the engine meets all of its specifications. The engine will be used on a C-17 Globemaster III once it passes inspection, testing and is certified. Zuk is a United Airlines F-117 engine inspector.
