PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 06, 2019) Seaman Matthew Richards, from Milwaukee, Wis., uses the “big eyes” binoculars to observe vessels while standing watch on the bridge of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) as the Arleigh-Burke Class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108), the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54), the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) and the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) sail in formation while conducting security and stability operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. Chancellorsville is forward-deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
