191003-N-CL550-0065 EAST CHINA SEA (Oct. 3, 2019) Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Kristoffer Coates, from Saluda, N.C., left, and Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Jakob Morgan, from Rossville, Ga., build a gun range in preparation for a live-fire gunnery exercise on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69). Milius is underway conducting operations in the Indo-Pacific region while assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
