Sailors aboard amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA 1) perform a physical on a non-combatant during a non-combatant evacuation operation (NEO) drill. NEO drills are held to train Sailors and Marines life-saving emergency procedures in a time of crisis. Tarawa is participating in a composite unit training exercise with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit off the coast of Southern California.
