A member of the 413th Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear, or CBRN Company, a U.S. Army Reserve unit from Florence, S.C., decontaminates a role player during a joint training exercise at Bowery subway station in New York, Sept. 28. The training, planned by the U.S. Army North Civil Support Training Activity, incorporated elements from the U.S. Army Reserve, New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority, and New York City Emergency Management, and was geared toward creating a holistic response effort that helped test the core competencies of Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission in a Chemical, Biological, Radiological or Nuclear response.
