Members of U.S. Army Reserve chemical and medical companies provide immediate assistance to a simulated casualty during a mock subway joint exercise at the FDNY’s Training Academy, Randalls Island in New York, 26 Sept. The training, planned by the U.S. Army North Civil Support Training Activity, incorporated elements from the U.S. Army Reserve, New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority, and New York City Emergency Management, and was geared toward creating a holistic response effort that helped test the core competencies of Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission in a Chemical, Biological, Radiological or Nuclear response.
