U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. James Woolford, assigned to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), salutes departing transfer cases containing the remains of possible U.S. military personnel lost during the Battle of Tarawa at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 27, 2019. The remains were transferred to the DPAA laboratory for forensic examination, so that they may be identified.
