ARCTIC OCEAN (Sept. 25, 2019) The Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60), front, fires its aft Mark 45 mod 4 5-inch gun as the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99) fires its Mark 45 mod 4 5-inch gun during a live-fire exercise Sept. 25, 2019. Normandy is operating in the Arctic in support of naval operations to maintain maritime stability and security in order to ensure access, deter aggression and defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
