ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 15, 2019) — Chief Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Mechanical) Nester Contreras, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78), works on an engine in one of the ship’s engine rooms in the Atlantic Ocean Sept. 15, 2019. Porter, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its seventh patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
