FACES OF THE DEEP: APRA HARBOR, Guam (Sept. 24, 2019) "I work in a room filled with missiles known as the torpedo room aboard the USS Oklahoma City," said Machinists Mate (Weapons) 2nd Class David Gentry, assigned to the Los-Angeles class fast attack submarine USS Oklahoma City (SSN 723), a native of Buckeye, Arizona. "It's what really makes this place a warship. The most thrilling part of the job is when "snapshot" is called away on the 1MC and the ship has to prepare the tubes and everything in a couple of minutes. We have to be quick and precise at what we're doing down here."
