Mr. Terry Kemper, Assistant Tribal Preservation Officer for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe is presented the ATAG coin by Minnesota National Guard Assistant Adjutant General - Army Brig. Gen. Lowell Kruse following the ‘Planting for the Future’ cultural event on Camp Ripley Sept 20, 2019. The presentation of a coin is a longstanding military tradition, and also held a significant meaning as the sharing of gifts between friends with mutual respect that is common through the Native American way of life.
