U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Christopher Sills, a mobility officer with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force- WASP, explains amphibious well-deck procedures to military officers from Central and South America aboard the USS Wasp (LHD 1), at Naval Base San Diego, Sept. 23, 2019. Marines and Sailors embarked on the USS Wasp as part of SPMAGTF-WASP to deploy to the Southern Command area of responsibility. Working together with our partner nation’s militaries allows us to increase our combined readiness and create a unified effort to respond to natural disasters in the future.
