SEWARD, Alaska (September 20, 2019) – Quartermaster 2nd Class Rachel Dill raises the ensign prior to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) departing Seward, Alaska following a scheduled port visit as part of Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) 2019. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participate in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
