Marines with Personal Security Detachment, Regimental Combat Team 7, practice firing while moving laterally during training, May 10. The training, which was part of “Spartan Resolve 3-2012,” focused on teaching Marines urban combat to include shooting on the move and clearing rooms. “Spartan Resolve 3-2012” is a pre-deployment exercise that combines a regimental command post exercise with field operations designed to prepare the Marines and sailors of RCT-7 for their upcoming deployment to Helmand province, Afghanistan.
