RALEIGH, N.C. – Leslie McElroy, the Thom Tillis Senate outreach director, gives her opening remarks during an annual service academy event Sept. 21, 2019, sponsored by the North Carolina National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion at the NCNG Joint Force Headquarters. Military Service academies to include the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine brief rising high school graduates on opportunities offered to them from each academy.
