U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Leslie Charles, an independent duty medical technician (IDMT) attached to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), screens soil for pieces of material evidence during recovery operations in East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea, Aug. 18, 2019. The recovery team visited the area in hopes of recovering a missing pilot whose aircraft went down during WWll.
