PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 18, 2019) – Chief Engineman David Watson, attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5, watches as Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrician) 3rd Class Alexander Zook, attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5, performs maintenance on landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 64 during Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) 2019. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participate in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
