PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 18, 2019) – Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Jeffrey Henson and Gas-Turbine Systems Technician(Electrician) 3rd Class Alexander Zook, attached to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5, watches the well-deck gate lower from landing craft air cushion (LCAC) before departing from San Antonio class amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25) during Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE) 2019. Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participate in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic region and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
