    Two UH-72A Lakota Helicopter pilots Capt. James Keaton (Right) and CW4 Mike Maggio (Left) conduct checks before taking off Aug.16, 2019 as part of Exercise Combined Resolve XII. The Lakota Crew would serve as overwatch for a team of AH-64 Apache Helicopters who’s mission was to destroy targets designated by North Macedonian Special Operations and Lithuanian National Defense Volunteer Forces. Exercise Combined Resolve XII is a force-on-force exercise that included over 5,000 multinational participants, which took place in Hohenfels, Germany. About 140 Special Operations Forces from five countries participated in the exercise, from August 11-27, to strengthen the combined, joint force on the battlefield, and the readiness of both SOF and conventional forces. 16, 2019 as part of Exercise Combined Resolve XII.
