    173rd Airborne Brigade

    U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade, conduct sustained airborne training along side NATO and multi-national partners at Rhine Ordnance Barracks before executing a joint forcible entry into Hohenfels Training Area, Germany which will initiate Exercise Saber Junction 2019 (SJ19), Sept. 17, 2019.

    The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, capable of projecting ready forces anywhere in the U.S. European, Africa or Central Commands' areas of responsibility.

    SJ19 is an exercise involving nearly 5,400 participants from 16 ally and partner nations at the U.S. Army's Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas, Sept. 3 to Sept. 30, 2019. SJ19 is designed to assess the readiness of the U.S. Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade to execute land operations in a joint, combined environment and to promote interoperability with partnering allies and partner nations.
