U.S. Army paratrooper, Spc. Adam Satori, is a 12N Heavy Equipment Operator assigned to Alpha Company, 54th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade stands with his M4 carbine rifle while participating in a range during Exercise Saber Junction 19 at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Sept. 9, 2019.
As a recent U.S. Army Sapper School graduate, Spc. Satori is prepared to implement his newly acquired engineer skills during Saber Junction 19. As an operator of the DK6 Light Bulldozer and the M1088 Tractor Truck, Spc. Satori is tasked with with digging anti-tank ditches, creating berms, digging fighting positions and repairing airfields.
Saber Junction 2019 is an exercise involving nearly 5,400 participants from 16 ally and partner nations at the U.S. Army's Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas, Sept. 3 to Sept. 30, 2019. SJ19 is designed to assess the readiness of the U.S. Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade to execute land operations in a joint, combined environment and to promote interoperability with partnering allies and partner nations.
