NAS Whidbey Island Relocates Retired A-6 Intruder As Part of Upcoming Memorial Park

190907-N-HC646-0074 OAK HARBOR, Wash. (Sept. 7, 2019) Sailors assigned to Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island Operations Air Terminal hook a towing bar on the landing gear of a retired A-6A Intruder during an operation to relocate it to a location outside the base as an addition to a static display commemorating the history of past aircraft that have flown on Ault Field. The relocation of the aircraft clears the area in vicinity of the gate for utilization of space while also making the aircraft more accessible for display.
