190913-N-JK118-1027 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 13, 2019) Chief petty officer selects await to receive their anchors during their pinning ceremony in the hangar bay of the Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Twenty-seven Sailors assumed the rank of chief petty officer during the ceremony. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
