Staff Sergeant Dean Brady, 502D Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) flight, trains during the early morning hours at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Tx Aug. 22, 2019. Brady received a rare invitation, from the 354th CES EOD, to participate in the upcoming annual memorial ruck to the Arctic Circle.
The 354th CES EOD holds an annual memorial ruck to remember and honor 20 fallen EOD technicians since 9/11. Part of the ruck, which journeys 220 miles from Eielson Air Force Base to the Arctic Circle, will have each member carrying 20lbs representing the 20 fallen EOD members.
