U.S. Army Col. David G. Cotter, from Providence, R.I., joins Qataris during a traditional Islamic Iftar during Ramadan on Sept. 15. Cotter, Area Support Group Qatar commander, attended the religious feast with several other U.S. service members stationed in the Arab-Islamic nation. The meal integrated time-honored Arabic foods, such as lamb, hummus, camel and various sweets.
