(September 09, 2019) An Amphibious Construction Battalion One utility boat tow tug approaches the SS Petersburg (T-AOT-9101) during Offshore Petroleum Discharge System operations for the Arctic Expeditionary Capabilities Exercise (AECE). Approximately 3,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel participate in AECE 2019, a joint training exercise that tests expeditionary logistical capabilities in the Arctic and Southern California regions and prepares joint forces to respond to crises across the Indo-Pacific.
