SIGONELLA, Sicily (Sep. 11, 2019) Aviation Electrician’s Mate 1st Class Beatriz Campos, who is selected for advancement to Chief Petty Officer, talks about her experience during the events of September 11, 2001 during a 9/11 remembrance ceremony onboard Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella, Sep. 11. The ceremony, organized by Chief Petty Officer Selects, marks the 18th anniversary of the terrorist attacks and honors those who lost their lives that day. NAS Sigonella’s strategic location enables U.S, allied, and partner nation forces to deploy and respond as required to ensure security and stability in Europe, Africa and Central Command.
