Chief selects—including Army senior enlisted members,—chief petty officers and officers assigned to Camp Lemonnier, participate in physical training followed by a formation run during the Chief Heritage Run at CLDJ, Sept. 6, 2019. Sailors selected for promotion to chief petty officer go through weeks of training to include leadership and physical training that is dedicated to mentoring the Navy's newest chiefs through naval history and heritage training. Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to ensure security in Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
