GULF OF THAILAND (Sept. 4, 2019) - U.S. Navy Capt. Matt Jerbi, left, commodore of Destroyer Squadron 7, and Royal Thai Navy Rear Adm. Sompong Narkthong, commander for the combined Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-U.S. task force during the ASEAN-U.S. Maritime Exercise (AUMX), participate in the commander’s update brief aboard HTMS Krabi (OPV 551) during AUMX. The first AUMX, co-led by the U.S. and Royal Thai navies, includes maritime forces from the U.S. and all 10 ASEAN member states.
