    Exercise Balikatan       

    U.S. Marine Cpl. Kyle Faulkner, Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 152 crew chief, does preflight checks prior to boarding a U.S. Marine Corps KC-130J Super Hercules prior to take off, April 22, at Villamor Air Base in Manila, Philippines. Faulkner and the rest of the KC-130J crew flew Philippine and U.S. military leaders and national and international reporters to the island of Palawan, Philippines, to observe a school dedication and attend a media engagement in Puerto Princesa City during Exercise Balikatan 2012. Exercise Balikatan is an annual training event aimed at improving combined planning, combat readiness, humanitarian assistance and interoperability between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S.
