Lt. Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of Multi-National Corps-Iraq, talks with ground commanders outside the Ramadi Government center Wednesday, Aug. 22. Odierno toured the city for about two hours with Multi-National Force-West troops and Iraqi security forces. Attacks on coalition forces in Ramadi have dropped to an average of about one per day, down from nearly 35 per day last December, according to Col. John Charlton, commander of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, who operates in the area.
