Col. Eugene N. Apicella presents Jae E. Yoon with the award for winning second place in the art/essay contest during the opening ceremony of the 17th annual Kids First Fair hosted by the Children, Youth and Teen Programs at the Paige Fieldhouse parking lot on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton April 28. "We are very appreciative of (Marine Corps Community Services) for allowing us to use the Kids First Fair for our presentation and recognition of the kids for their achievement," said George B. Brown, executive director of Armed Services YMCA for Camp Pendleton. Apicella is the deputy commander for Marine Corps Installations West, MCB Camp Pendleton. Yoon is a first grade student at Santa Margarita Elementary School.
