Capt. Corey Carroll, dentist, assigned to 421st Multi-Functional Medical Battalion, 30th Medical Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, provides an intravenous tube to a simulated casualty during a tactical combat casualty care event as part of the 21st TSC Best Medic Competition in Baumholder, Germany, Aug. 22, 2019. Throughout the competition, Soldiers must endure a multitude of events such as a land navigation test, army combat fitness test, medical evacuations, obstacle course, stress shoot, and mystery events.
