Philippine Army Staff Sgt. Arturo F. Ofiana (left), non-commissioned officer of the 7th Infantry Division civil military operation, and U.S. Army Sgt. Waylon Towata (right), carpenter and masonry specialist with the 871st Engineer Company, discuss the framing of the new roof at the Callos Elementary School in Penaranda, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, April 19. Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. soldiers participating in Exercise Balikatan 2012 integrated a Carpentry and Masonry Course for local volunteers into a community relations project coordinated with the school. Upon graduation of the course, each volunteer received a bag with all of the tools needed, along with the materials, to complete the rest of the school projects.
